For math we continued with our number lines and the scholars mastered certain basics that had to do with intervals and measuring.
We then moved onto our deserts unit in history and learned about songlines, an aborigine mapping system that was based on land marks. Later on in the unit scholars will have the opportunity to write songlines about our building and how to negotiate through it.
After lunch we moved right into our science experiment. Your scholars should be able to discuss procedure and what we were trying to find out, as well as whether or not their hypothesis was correct. (see photos).
Please note that I would like to sign up our scholars for their National Junior Forensic membership by the end of next week. If possible please send in $5 for your scholar which covers his or her membership for the next three years. Thank you for your help in this.
Also please remember to send in paperwork that needs to be signed by both parents and scholars.
Have a wonderful evening!
