In a whirlwind sort of day the scholars finished their oratories, had a heated debate about electronics in schooling, and celebrated birthdays for the month. Then it was on to music, the book fair and lunch!
Next week will have us all busy goal setting, writing, and getting into the new quarter. The sixth grade is again sponsoring a school wide service project in November. We need plastic containers from peanut butter or mayonnaise jars to decorate and get to every class in the school. We need 22 and we currently have 7.
Please send in any containers you have with your scholars! If you are crafty and would like to come in and help us decorate and get them ready, we will be working on them next Tuesday and Thursday during character time. Ask your scholar what this project is about! They should be able to fill you in!
If you are coming for conferences on Monday and Tuesday, please come a few minutes early to peruse your scholar's portfolio before entering the suite. They can bring it in with them, but then it's down to business as we discuss grades and I hand you report cards and NWEA scores.
Thank you for being punctual so that I can be home before 10:00 each evening.
